SRS 103 - Andernach 117

Danny

The SRS team looked good with a few new editions to the line up and even led 75-73 after three quarters, but in the end, the team of veterans from Andernach proved to be too strong. The exhibition game took place on Saturday afternoon and was one of the highlights of our training weekend. This is the second year that we have offered a basketball weekend for young believers who want to improve their skills and use their abilities to glorify God.

Andernach is the club that I have been playing with for the past two years, but on this day I suited up for the young SRS squad. Our goal was to share the gospel with our opponents through our play and by talking with them after the game.

After a closely contested game, we sat together and I was able to give my testimony to the team that I usually play for. The players already new that I work for a christian organization, but for me it was a chance to share more about what God has done in my life. After I was finished sharing we gave each of the players a New Testament of the bible with testimonies from athletes in it.

I pray that my teammates will read in their new bibles and that God will give me the wisdom to answer any questions that they my have.

I don’t have any pictures from the game, but here’s one of Manuela and me after one of our victories this season

Celebrating a close win

    Hey Daniel,
Great to hear from you and Happy Birthday! It’s today isn’t it? Manuela and I are going to be in Vancouver at the end of June - any chance we could see you then?
