Ost Park Open in Rüsselsheim
Manuela and I just got back from the 4th Ost Park Open Disc Golf tournament in Rüsselsheim (close to Frankfurt) where I participated in my second disc golf tournament of the year.
After a struggling through the morning round on Saturday, I managed to pull things together to shoot par in the afternoon. This morning I shot par again in the third round and I was happy to make the cut (top 20 players). I haven’t seen the final results yet, but I think I finished in about 12th place after the last nine holes.
We were blessed with great weather for the weekend and it was fun seeing a lot of the players that I’ve been getting to know over the past few years. Most of the players I talk to for the first time ask me what I am doing in Germany and that gives me a chance to tell them about SRS. I pray that I will continue to have opportunities to witness to the players here and to develop the friendships that I have made through disc golf.
While I was playing in the tournament, Manuela enjoyed spending time with her friend Jeannette. Highlights included: going shopping, watching girly movies and riding on the scooter.
