Friday night youth group in Hilden
Manuela and I were invited to spend the afternoon and evening with the youth group in Hilden, close to Düsseldorf, on Friday.
It’s the same church that I was at for a week last summer to help with their English Camp.
From 4:00 until 6:00 the younger kids come for what they call their after school meeting. Ather that, the teenagers come for dinner, bible study and sports. I was responsible for the bible study for the younger kids and the teenagers as well as the sports program for the evening. We talked about David and Goliath and how he was able to defeat the giant by focusing on the power of the living God. I encouraged the youth to give God all of their worries and concerns and not to let them become burdens in their lives. ”Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
The evening ended with disc golf in the park. We both had a lot of fun and I was really happy that Manuela could come along and support the ministry.
